Quality Inspector

Job Description

Job Overview:

Execute the inspection and Quality Control activities on site, collecting the relevant objectives proofs, ensuring monitoring and coordination of quality control activities on electrical and instrument equipment/system construction, installation and mechanical completion activities.

Responsibilities

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Determine product conformity to customer specifications through daily surveillances and ITP inspection points in accordance with the Project Quality Plan
• Identify non-conformity for rectification and ensure final resolution
• Appraise product quality to determine conformity and non-conformity in accordance with the approved drawings and inspection & Test Plan; All inspection results need to be documented, and if non-conformity exists, documentation shall be raised to establish corrective action
• Coordinate interface with Operations, Certifying Authority, Client, Job Sharing personnel, and subcontractor, assuring the conformity to project specifications
• Exercise a proactive approach to the prevention of a problem by interacting with Production, Engineers, and Management personnel
• Liaise with customer representatives, ensuring product conformity and stage release for each activity denoted within the Project Quality Plan/ITP
• Perform field inspection of fitting and welding in accordance with project specification and scope as noted in the ITP
• Review and familiarize with Project AFC drawing, NDT drawing, ITP, Work Instruction and Project specification relating to assigned project
• Conducting business & performing duties in accordance with McDermott’s "Code of Business Conduct" and any other governing of the company
  
  

Qualifications

Essential Qualifications and Education:

• High school diploma or degree in relevant field of study
• 5+ years of Quality Control or discipline-related experience with a degree and 8+ with a diploma
• Proficient in the use of computer and Microsoft programs
