Content QA Specialist — SEO Blog Reviewer (Remote, Part-Time)
We're an SEO agency running AI-assisted content production across ~15 clients (at the moment and planning on scaling) and currently producing 150–250 articles per month. We need a sharp set of eyes to manually review every article before it goes live on a client's website.
You'll be the last line of defence before content ships to a client's blog. AI gets us 90% of the way — your job is making sure the last 10% is right.
- Review 15–25 articles per day against a structured checklist we provide
- Approve articles for publishing or send them back to the content team with specific, actionable notes (e.g. "Image 3 doesn't match the section content", "Currency is wrong — should be EUR not USD", "PPA section in conclusion repeats info from intro")
- Flag any article that reads as obviously AI-generated (forced phrasing, generic openers, hallucinated facts) so we can refine the prompt
- Track turnaround time per article so the team hits monthly delivery deadlines
- Catch compliance issues for sensitive client niches (health, finance, legal — we'll brief you per client)
- Verify products mentioned in articles match the actual client catalog (we'll give you product lists per client)
- Spot-check internal links — make sure anchors aren't broken and target the right page
- Occasionally suggest improvements to the QA checklist itself as you find new failure patterns
- A web-based dashboard where every article is queued up with one-click "Approve" or "Request Changes"
- A per-client QA brief — brand voice, banned phrases, target audience, disclaimers required, products in catalogue, currency
- A master checklist covering SEO basics, factual accuracy, image quality, link integrity, compliance, brand voice
- Access to each client's site so you can verify products + tone match reality
- A team chat channel for clarifications when something's unclear
- Native (or near-native) English with proven editorial / proofreading / journalism background. Spotting awkward AI phrasing is a core skill.
- You can read a 1,500-word article in 5–8 minutes and assess it confidently — speed matters at this volume.
- Attention to detail bordering on pedantic. You care about Oxford commas, mismatched verb tenses, and whether a heading promised "5 reasons" but delivered 4.
- Comfortable working independently with checklists — you don't need someone holding your hand on each article.
- Basic SEO literacy: you know what H1/H2 structure means, why internal linking matters, what a meta description should do, what "keyword stuffing" looks like.
- You can articulate feedback concisely. "Don't like the tone" is useless. "Paragraph 3 contradicts the intro by saying the product is for adults when intro positioned it for kids" is gold.
- You're comfortable with browser-based tools — our review dashboard, Google Docs, Slack/WhatsApp, basic Shopify admin.
- Experience editing SEO content specifically (not just general copyediting)
- Basic Shopify or WordPress admin experience
- Familiarity with Google Search Console / Ahrefs / Semrush at a reader level (you don't need to run audits, just understand what the data means)
- Experience reviewing AI-generated content specifically — you know the tells
- Niche expertise in any of: wellness, ecommerce, finance, B2B SaaS, sports/fitness, home & family
- "I'll use ChatGPT to check the articles for me" — no. We need a human reviewer to catch what AI misses.
- Inability to commit to consistent daily availability
- 100% remote, asynchronous
- Part-time to start (15–20 hrs/week) — scope grows to full-time as our client base grows
- Per-article rate ($3–6 per article depending on length and complexity) OR hourly ($15–25/hr depending on experience). We're flexible; pick whichever model suits you.
- Two-week paid trial on ~30 articles before any long-term commitment — we both find out if it's a fit
- Paid monhly via Wise / Stripe / PayPal
Send us:
- A short note (under 150 words) — why this role interests you
- 2–3 work samples showing editorial / proofreading work (links or PDFs)
- A review of this article: [link to a sample article from your tool that has obvious issues — pick a real one with a Thai-baht-in-French-article problem or a forced product mention]. Write 4–6 bullet points on what you'd flag. We're looking at how you think, not whether you catch every issue.
We'll reply to everyone who completes step 3. Top picks get a 30-min Zoom + a paid 5-article test before the full trial.
