About the Job
As a Procurement Officer, you are responsible to source, purchase, and manage the supply of food ingredients, beverages, packaging, kitchen supplies, and operational materials to support business operations. This role ensures products are procured at the best quality, price, and delivery timeline while maintaining strong supplier relationships and compliance with company standards.
What will you be doing?
- Source and purchase food ingredients, beverages, packaging, kitchen equipment, and operational supplies.
- Compare quotations and negotiate pricing, payment terms, and contracts with vendors.
- Ensure timely procurement to support operational and production needs.
- Monitor stock levels and coordinate replenishment with warehouse and operations teams.
- Prepare and process Purchase Orders (PO) accurately and on time.
- Identify and evaluate new suppliers based on quality, pricing, reliability, and compliance standards.
- Maintain strong relationships with existing vendors and conduct regular performance evaluations.
- Resolve supplier-related issues such as delayed deliveries, quality problems, or discrepancies.
- Monitor market trends and pricing fluctuations for food and beverage materials.
- Support cost-saving initiatives without compromising product quality.
- Prepare procurement reports, cost analysis, and purchasing forecasts.
- Coordinate with kitchen, warehouse, finance, and operational teams regarding purchasing needs.
- Ensure inventory availability aligns with operational demand and forecast.
- Assist in stock audits and inventory control activities.
What do we look for?
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Technology, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain, Hospitality, or related field.
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in procurement/purchasing, preferably in the F&B or FMCG industry.
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Good understanding of food supply chain and inventory management.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and procurement systems/ERP.
- Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
