About the Role

We are looking for a motivated Junior Software Engineer to join our growing team at Hijrahfood.

This role is ideal for early-career developers who want hands-on exposure building software solutions that support operations, digital commerce, and internal business systems.

You will work across development, testing, troubleshooting, and modern engineering workflows, including AI-assisted software development.

Skills & Experience Needed

• 0–1 year software development experience (internship/projects/open source welcome)
• Minimum D3 in Information Systems / Informatics Engineering / Computer Science
• Comfortable with Python or TypeScript
• Familiar with Git / version control (Git)
• Understanding of databases, APIs, and system integration concepts
• Familiarity with AI-assisted coding tools such as GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, or similar is a strong plus
• Basic DevOps or system administration knowledge is a plus

Responsibilities

• Support development and maintenance of software applications and internal systems
• Contribute to feature development, bug fixing, testing, and performance improvements
• Support deployment and troubleshooting activities
• Contribute to internal tools, automation opportunities, and development workflows
