Inspection Technical Coordinator

How can you support us? Here are below your responsibilities:

1. Review Purchase Order and all the contractual documentation in order to detect discrepancies and prevent any misunderstanding that could potentially cause delays
2. Ensure a supply chain management approach in order to timely identify and manage any potential cause of delay, and mitigate delays already detected
3. Ensure specialist support to engineering department to vendor quality control documents review (ITP, NDT procedures, FAT procedures, etc.)
4. Perform or supervise inspections and tests in compliance with Inspection and Test Plan (e.g., Electrical equipment and cable testing; Instrumentation equipment and bulk materials testing; Static equipment fabrication and materials testing; welding process)
5. Ensure timely issuance of Inspection Reports
6. Issue Non-Conformity Reports and Punch Lists in case of not satisfactory inspection
7. Ensure the vendor Manufactured Data Book review and approval
8. Issue vendor performance feedback as per Saipem Vendor Management process

What are we looking for?

1. Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, Materials Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
2. Minimum 5–8 years of experience in Quality Control, Inspection, or Inspection Coordination within the Oil & Gas, EPC, Petrochemical, or Energy industry.
3. Proven experience coordinating vendor inspections, expediting inspection activities, and managing quality documentation throughout the manufacturing process.
4. Strong knowledge of international codes and standards such as ASME, API, ASTM, ISO, IEC, AWS, NACE, and other applicable industry standards.
5. Experienced in reviewing quality documents, including Inspection and Test Plans (ITP), NDT Procedures, Welding Procedures (WPS/PQR), FAT Procedures, Quality Plans, and Manufacturing Data Books (MDB).
6. Familiar with inspection activities for static equipment, piping, structural steel, electrical equipment, instrumentation, valves, and packaged equipment
7. Experience in managing Non-Conformity Reports (NCRs), Punch Lists, corrective actions, and vendor performance evaluations.
8. Strong ability to review contractual and purchase order requirements to ensure compliance with project specifications and quality standards.
9. Excellent coordination, communication, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to work effectively with engineering teams, procurement, vendors, clients, and third-party inspection agencies.
10. Able to work independently, prioritize multiple inspection activities, and meet project deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
11. Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
12. Willing to travel domestically and internationally for vendor inspections and project requirement
