Corporate Compliance Manager

About the role

This key leadership role as Head of the Corporate Compliance Department at PT Modernland Realty Tbk will be responsible for overseeing all legal matters for the company. As a full-time position based in West Jakarta, Jakarta, you will provide strategic legal guidance and support to ensure the company operates in compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.

What you'll be doing

• Manage and lead the in house legal (compliance) team, providing direction and mentorship
• Oversee the drafting, review and negotiation of all corporate and commercial agreements
• Advise on regulatory, compliance and governance matters
• Support the company's strategic initiatives, investments and business development activities
• Identify and mitigate legal risks across the organization
• Ensure the company operates in accordance with all applicable laws and internal policies
• Collaborate closely with senior stakeholders across the business

What we're looking for

• 8+ years' post-qualification experience in corporate and commercial law, ideally within a large firm or in-house legal team
• Extensive experience advising on a broad range of legal matters, including contracts, M&A, regulations, IP, and more.
• Fluency in English and Mandarin is preferred
• Proven track record of providing pragmatic, commercially-focused legal counsel to operational teams and senior leaders
• Ability to work autonomously while also leading and mentoring a team of legal professionals
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
