About the Role

We are looking for a Business Intelligence Developer / Data Analyst to help build and improve our company’s data reporting and automation system.

This role will be responsible for extracting data from multiple sources, cleaning and transforming data using Power Query, structuring data for reporting, creating automated dashboards using Power BI, and supporting automation of repetitive reporting processes using RPA tools.

The ideal candidate is someone who understands both data and business operations. They should be able to turn raw operational data into clear reports, useful dashboards, automated reporting workflows, and actionable business insights for management.

This role is suitable for someone who is hands-on, detail-oriented, analytical, and comfortable working with messy data from Excel, Google Sheets, ERP systems, sales reports, finance reports, inventory reports, and operational databases.

Key Responsibilities

Data Extraction & Collection

• Extract data from multiple sources such as Excel, Google Sheets, ERP systems, accounting systems, sales systems, warehouse reports, and operational files.

• Understand existing company data sources and map how data flows between departments.

• Standardize raw data formats so they can be used consistently for reporting.

• Identify missing, duplicate, inconsistent, or unreliable data.

Data Cleaning & Transformation

• Use Power Query to clean, transform, merge, and automate data preparation.

• Build repeatable data transformation processes to reduce manual reporting work.

• Create clean master data tables for customers, products, SKUs, branches, salesmen, suppliers, and other business entities.

• Ensure data accuracy before it is used in reporting.

Data Modeling & Data Warehouse Support

• Help design simple and scalable data models for reporting.

• Build structured tables such as sales, inventory, customer, product, branch, supplier, and financial data tables.

• Create relationships between tables in Power BI.

• Maintain proper data structures to support future reporting needs.

• Support the development of a centralized and reliable reporting database or data warehouse.

Dashboard & Report Development

• Create and maintain dashboards using Power BI.

• Build reports for sales, finance, operations, logistics, inventory, profit, target achievement, customer performance, SKU performance, and branch performance.

• Develop automated dashboards that update regularly with minimal manual input.

• Create management-level dashboards that are clear, simple, and actionable.

• Convert business questions into useful metrics, charts, and reports.

RPA & Process Automation

• Support automation of repetitive reporting and administrative processes using RPA tools.

• Automate tasks such as data downloading, file consolidation, data entry, report generation, and email reporting.

• Work with departments to identify manual processes that can be automated.

• Integrate automated workflows with Excel, Google Sheets, ERP systems, and reporting dashboards where possible.

Business Analysis & Insight

• Analyze business performance and identify trends, issues, risks, and opportunities.

• Support management by explaining the meaning behind the numbers.

• Help departments understand their KPIs and performance gaps.

• Recommend improvements based on data findings.

Documentation & Process Improvement

• Document data sources, report logic, formulas, dashboard definitions, and update processes.

• Create reporting guidelines so users can understand how to use dashboards.

• Improve existing manual reporting processes and reduce dependency on repetitive Excel work.

• Work with different departments to improve data quality and reporting discipline.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Experience in Power BI dashboard development.

• Strong knowledge of Power Query for data cleaning and transformation.

• Good understanding of Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, lookup formulas, and structured data tables.

• Ability to work with messy data and turn it into clean reporting formats.

• Understanding of database concepts such as tables, relationships, primary keys, and data models.

• Able to create clear and easy-to-understand dashboards for management.

• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.

• Detail-oriented and careful with numbers.

• Able to communicate with non-technical users from sales, finance, logistics, and operations teams.

Preferred Skills

• Basic SQL knowledge.

• Knowledge of DAX in Power BI.

• Experience with data warehouse or data mart development.

• Experience working with ERP, accounting, sales, inventory, warehouse, or operational systems.

• Experience creating automated reporting systems.

• Understanding of RPA tools such as UiPath, Microsoft Power Automate, Automation Anywhere, or similar platforms.

• Ability to automate repetitive manual processes such as data downloading, file consolidation, report generation, email reporting, and data entry.

• Experience integrating RPA workflows with Excel, Google Sheets, ERP systems, and reporting dashboards.

• Understanding of business KPIs such as sales target, gross profit, net profit, inventory turnover, stock availability, return ratio, customer coverage, collection performance, and branch profitability.

• Experience in FMCG, distribution, retail, logistics, or trading companies is a plus.
