Associate Quality Inspector

Job Description

Job Overview:

The Coating / Painting Inspector applies conceptual and practical knowledge of coating inspection and, with moderate guidance from senior inspectors or quality leadership, is responsible for resolving straightforward coating and painting inspection issues. The role involves performing inspections in accordance with approved procedures, drawings, and Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), while developing a strong understanding of company processes, project requirements, and customer expectations. The Associate Coating / Painting Inspector supports quality assurance by conducting routine inspections, monitoring coating activities, identifying non-conformities, and ensuring compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and client requirements within a fabrication yard environment.

Responsibilities

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Assist the Senior Quality Inspector/Quality inspector in determining product conformity to customer specifications through independent inspections, daily surveillances, and tests by the Project Quality Plan
• Identify non-conformity for rectification and ensure final resolution
• Assist the Senior Quality Inspector/Quality Inspector in appraising product quality to determine conformity and non-conformity in accordance to the approved drawings and inspection & test plan
• All inspection results need to be documented, and if non-conformity exists, documentation shall be raised to establish corrective action
• Assist the Senior Quality Inspector /Quality Inspector in coordinating the interface with operations, Certifying Authority, Client, Job Sharing, personnel, and subcontractor, assuring the conformity to project specifications
• Assist the Senior Quality Inspector/Quality Inspector in performing field inspections by project specifications and scope of work as noted within the Project Quality Plan/ITPs
• Assist the Senior Quality Inspector/Quality Inspector in confirming adherence to applicable procedures and plans by effective audit and surveillance
  
  

Qualifications

Essential Qualifications and Education:

• High school diploma or degree in relevant field of study
• 2+ years of quality control or discipline-related experience in Inspection
• Proficient with computers and Microsoft programs such as Word, Excel, and Outlook
